Fleetguard launches air restriction indicator
Fleetguard has launched its FleetguardFIT technology, saying that it is helping customers optimize air filter maintenance.
The company claims the air restriction indicator device provides a real-time, reliable visual indication of air filter health, enabling maintenance intervals to be determined based on actual operating conditions rather than pre-set distances, engine hours, or time.
The LED indicator visually changes from green to yellow and to red, reflecting the filter’s restriction level.
It also sends an electrical signal to maintenance managers, reducing the risk of premature filter replacements, lowering maintenance costs, and increasing equipment availability, the company said in a news release.
