FLEETMENTOR LAUNCHED

FleetMentor, an online fleet management tool, was officially launched on July 1, 2008, following a 6-month beta test that included nearly 15,000 transportation professionals from both the United States and Canada, says J. J. Keller & Associates. Trucking fleets of all sizes are able to make use of its 60-plus interactive tools.

FleetMentor provides transportation professionals with online tools to manage three areas of fleet management more effectively: operations, personnel and safety. It’s claimed to be the only service available that provides the tools and resources to manage all three areas of a transport operation.

The Operations area helps fleet managers make better business decisions. Tools in this area range from identifying fixed and variable costs to determine optimal bill rates, tracking accident claims, and managing insurance policies. The Personnel area provides features to aid in driver and personnel, with tools for creating competitive salary and pay packages, improving driver retention, and managing DOT-required drug and alcohol testing processes. The Safety area provides help with record-keeping requirements, compliance audits, and hazardous materials management.

You can register for a 30-day free, no-obligation trial of FleetMentor by visiting www.fleetmentor.com.
