Fleetworthy adds accident tracking to compliance platform
Fleetworthy is expanding its safety and compliance platform with a new accident tracking capability designed to give fleets deeper visibility into risk and incident trends.
The company announced March 26 the new feature centralizes both DOT-reportable and non-DOT accidents into a single system, allowing fleets to standardize how incidents are documented, analyzed and managed.

Fleetworthy said the tool addresses a common gap in fleet safety programs, where non-DOT incidents often go untracked or inconsistently recorded.
“That creates a serious visibility gap,” said David Long, vice president of product at Fleetworthy. “Incomplete data limits a safety team’s ability to answer critical questions about why accidents happen and what needs to change.”
The Accident Tracking capability links each incident to specific drivers, vehicles and compliance records, while storing supporting documentation — including photos and reports — in a searchable, audit-ready format.
By standardizing data capture across operations, the system is designed to help fleets assess preventability, identify trends and shift from reactive incident response to proactive risk management.
Fleetworthy said the feature also strengthens fleets’ legal and compliance posture by reducing audit preparation time and supporting regulatory and insurance reviews through consistent, accessible documentation.
