FlowBelow launches wheel covers with center-access tire inflation valves

FlowBelow Aero has introduced new fuel-saving wheel covers featuring Easy Air Access, designed to simplify tire inflation and inspection.

The company said checking inner and outer tire pressures can require drivers and technicians to stoop, kneel or strain to reach valve stems positioned deep within wheel rims. The new design places both inflation valves in the center surface of the aerodynamic wheel cover, allowing users to check pressure and inflate tires without kneeling or removing the covers.

FlowBelow said the system extends the valve stems for both inner and outer tires and routes them through the center ring of the wheel cover. The setup positions the inflation valves between 20 and 22 inches (50.8 to 55.9 cm) from the ground for easier access.

The company’s engineers partnered with Pressure Systems International (P.S.I.) to develop and supply the air line components used in the Easy Air Access system. Optional auxiliary valves support tire pressure monitoring system installations, and FlowBelow is offering P.S.I.’s TireView LIVE TPMS as an upgrade.
