Fontaine Modification adds another car hauler option

by Today's Trucking

Fontaine Modification has added another car hauler to its line.

It is now modifying the Peterbilt Model 589 with 44-, 58-, and 72-inch sleepers. The Model 589 replaces Peterbilt’s Model 389, which Fontaine says it has experience modifying in the past.

“As North America’s most comprehensive, engineering-focused provider of post-production services for truck manufacturers, dealers, and fleets, we’re proud to offer car carrier conversions on a wide range of truck models,” says Harrison Letchworth, Fontaine Modification vocational sales manager. “As a result, customers can choose the truck and trailer they want with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the conversion has been designed and performed by experienced professionals.”

The modification lowers the truck’s cab roof by 4.5 inches, achieving an overall height of 102 inches.
