Fourgons Leclair offers new 48-foot composite trailer

by Today's Trucking

Fourgons Leclair is offering its first 48-foot composite trailer, the Polair Ultra.

The newest offering is produced at its Terrebonne, Que., plant. The company says the design helps maintain cold temperatures while reducing the use of the trailer refrigeration unit (TRU) and improving related fuel consumption.

“The energy efficiency of our products contributes to a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions,” the company said in a statement. “Fourgons Leclair is the only trailer manufacturer to be approved by the Quebec eco-trucking program. Our complete line of composite products is also recognized by this same program. Our customers therefore benefit from a generous subsidy when they purchase our products.”
