Freightliner introduces new M2 Body Builder CD

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Freightliner has introduced an updated Body Builder CD for the Business Class M2 product line.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Freightliner has introduced an updated Body Builder CD for the Business Class M2 product line.

The new Business Class M2 Resource CD, Version 3.0 offers an improved interface and functionality, the company says. The CD is designed to help body builders, dealers and customers build the right truck for their specific business needs.

“The new M2 Resource CD is outstanding, innovative technology which offers huge time-savings for users when spec’ing out one of our vehicles for body installation,” stated Jonathan Randall, director of product marketing, Freightliner Trucks. “This software offers exceptional advantages and options for our customers and dealers.”

The M2 Resource CD allows owners to digitally spec’ their Business Class M2s, selecting from a variety of vehicle views including interior, exterior, axle, engine and component dimensions. The first CD in the series was introduced in July, 2002. The new version now includes improved graphics and an expanded viewing area, the company says. The new design allows for improved navigation and easy-to-read drawings and dimensions.

“To say the M2 Resource CD is user-friendly is an understatement,” Rich Hakalmazian, a Freightliner dealer who tested the program said. “Not only is this a great tool for making our jobs easier, it helps us work smarter. The information on the CD provides an understanding of the whys and wherefores in applications and engineering, making us the knowledgeable sales professionals our customers are looking for.”

Users may also save configurations, recalling them later as well as capture data codes in print mode. The M2 Resource CD, Version 3.0 is available at www.m2bodybuilder.com.
