MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Glasvan Great Dane has been named Dealer of the Year by Great Dane Trailers, while also taking top honours for international dry van and reefer sales.

Also recognized by the trailer manufacturer were sales reps Tom Pepper and George Cobham Jr. who were named King Pin award winners an award given to the top seven sales representatives in North America. It was Peppers second consecutive King Pin award and the first for Cobham Jr. More than 40 dealerships in the US, Canada and Mexico were considered for the awards.

The annual awards are based on more than just volume, explained Glasvan Great Dane CEO, George Cobham Sr. They also take into account customer service and year-over-year sales improvements.

Our commitment to aftermarket service and the opening of multiple service locations that weve undertaken over the last few years to support our customers, helped cement the decision, Cobham Sr. told Trucknews.com this morning. Its the first time Glasvan Great Dane has been named Great Dane Dealer of the Year.

Cobham Sr. also credited the entire staff for their contributions towards winning the awards.

It was a group effort by all the employees at Glasvan Great Dane, he said. It takes the efforts of parts and service, new and used trailer sales the whole organization had to be good enough to convince our customers to buy our product. Its not just the product and price. Our people do a great job providing service, quality of work and support.
