FLINT, Mich. — Local news reports suggest General Motors is considering selling its medium-duty truck business to Navistar International.

“We are considering options for our medium-duty truck business to better position the unit for growth,” GM spokesperson Melisa Tezanos told local media yesterday. She would not confirm reports that Navistar International is the most likely suitor.

Last year, about 40,800 Kodiak, TopKick and Isuzu T-Series medium-duty trucks were built by the unit.
