TORONTO, Ont. — Goodyear Canada’s Engineered Products Division announced the introduction of a timing component kit and an automotive timing belt installation manual both designed to lower vehicle repair bills as well as provide detailed information on timing belt specifications and guidelines.

"We’ve always recommended when a timing belt requires changing, tensioners and idlers should be checked as well. Goodyear’s new automotive timing belt installation manual is a comprehensive 624-page guide with hundreds of diagrams and easy-to-follow timing belt replacement and installation instructions for a wide range of passenger cars and light trucks, both domestic and imported, said Lefebvre.

"It looks like Goodyear Canada’s Installer Program has taken another big step in its overall plan by launching these new products into the field. Goodyear Poly-V belts used by automotive and truck installers and technicians are the same products we use at a NASCAR race," said Ron Fellows, Canadian road course driver and champion who competed for Dale Earnhardt Incorporated this season in two NASCAR Winston Cup Series races.
