KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Haldex Commercial Vehicle Systems is now offering Gold Seal and Life Seal double diaphragm spring brakes for vocational truck applications including refuse haulers, cement mixers and dump trucks.

The heavy-duty service housing is made from 8 gauge steel which Haldex says is 10% thicker and stronger than standard housing. It features a black powder coating designed to provide corrosion protection. The dust boot is designed to prevent the entry of damaging contaminants and also offers protection from water ingress for truck applications with upward pointing pushrods. The Neoprene service diaphragm is designed to resist chemicals, oil and garbage waste and its nylon fabric is reinforced to provide durability in harsh conditions.

Haldex offers a four-year, unlimited mileage warranty on Life Seal and a one-year 100,000 mileage warranty on Gold Seal.

Haldex also reached a milestone recently, having produced its two-millionth brake shoe at a New Generation Friction Center. Over the past two years, the company has invested more than $1 million to create New Generation Friction Centers and introduce production upgrades at existing facilities.
