Haldex releases PR height control valve

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Haldex’s Air Management and Suspensions Controls Division has launched a new precision response (PR) height control valve.

The company says the new PR valve improves durability and extended life, mainly because it uses a single dynamic seal comprised of ceramic material rather than a conventional synthetic rubber seal.

Haldex says tests indicate the new PR valve has a life expectancy three times greater than other valves currently on the market when operated in air systems where contaminants such as oil, water and dirt are present. Increased durability is also attributed to a stronger shaft design, which also eliminates wear-induced ride height variation. Haldex also says the new PR valve provides better air flow to the air spring, which improves performance.

Installation is made easy by an adjustable control arm design enabling accurate and quick adjustments during installation, the company says.
