Gray Manufacturing has introduced its new 40,000-lb-capacity wheel-lift system, the model WL-40. With its portable design, the lift eliminates the need for a dedicated bay and keeps downtime to a minimum, Gray says. The new system is 100% air-operated which is said to make it both quick and versatile — it can raise one end of a variety of vehicles with a wheel diameter between 14 and 24.5 in. simply using shop air. Its large capacity means the new wheel lift can easily raise typical heavy vehicles such as fire apparatus and military vehicles. The patented wheel-lift system also doubles as a vehicle support stand and can raise one end of a vehicle 30 in.
