Herd announces upgrades to truck guards

by Today's Trucking

Herd has updated its Texas and Big Tex truck guards, making them lighter-weight and stronger than the models they replace, the company announced.

Previous designs were made from channel extrusions, while the new ones are built using formed channels. The appearance is maintained but weight is reduced and durability improved, Herd claims.

The company also updated its Slam Latch system, eliminating maintenance and adjustment requirements. It is standard on the new line of products. Those models also get an updated radar-compatible bracket.

“Our Texas and Big Texas truck guards have long been a staple in our legacy product line,”  said Marc Daudet, CEO of Herd. “As we enter into Herd’s next generation of manufacturing, we’re proud to offer truck guards that are both lighter, stronger, and feature cutting-edge features like the Slam Latch that continue to set a higher bar for quality and performance.”
