Herd introduces lower-cost Stealth Defender truck guard

by Today's Trucking

Herd has introduced a lower-cost front-end protection truck guard it says provides equal protection at a fraction the cost of previous versions.

The Stealth Defender features a satin finish thanks to an aluminum treatment that creates an “eye-catching sparkle,” the company says. The new offering will retail with a MSRP of US$2,950, significantly less than the Defender series guards, Herd announced.

“For over 20 years, Herd has worked tirelessly to manufacture the highest quality truck guards in the transportation industry,” Marc Daudet, CEO of Herd, said in a release. “By launching the Stealth Defender, Herd is entering a whole new era of accessibility and presenting drivers and fleet managers with unprecedented opportunities to gain premium protection at affordable prices.”

The Stealth Defender features Herd’s Slam Latch system for easy access to the engine compartment, and to simplify trip inspections and maintenance. It also comes with Herd’s impact plates that provide protection in the event of an off-center collision. It’s covered by a three-year warranty.
