Hunter Engineering offers Maverick Pro centre-clamp tire changer
Hunter Engineering has rolled out its new Maverick Pro center-clamp tire changer.
It has an ergonomic pick-and-place wheel lift capable of lifting and tilting heavy assemblies and 19.5s up to 175 pounds (79 kg) in one motion, according to a news release. The lift holds position while elevated and then lowers automatically, eliminating the most repetitive and back-straining part of the tire-changing process.

Additionally, the Maverick Pro features an under-wheel light that illuminates the lower roller and bottom bead during the mount/demount process. The light activates automatically during lower roller operation and includes a customizable timer for automatic shut-off. The improved visibility allows for easier bottom bead breaking and lubrication, even in low-light conditions, the company claims.
Hydraulic controls combine low-speed functionality with on-demand acceleration, allowing technicians to control the tire-changing process using their own techniques at their own speed. Other productivity features include a leverless head and automatic tools-clear functionality. InflationStation fills tires to the desired pressure automatically without operator presence, allowing the technician to tend to other tasks simultaneously.
