VICTORIA, B.C. — The Insurance Corp. of B.C. (ICBC) has updated its T-53 and T-55 permits, and made amendments to the Commercial Transport Act Regulations.

The new permits took effect in March, while changes to the regulations which will allow the operation of tridem drive straight trucks for variable loads came into play Mar. 15. In order to qualify under the new regulations, the tridem drive straight trucks must have permanently mounted equipment.

More information about the rule changes is available through ICBC or the B.C. Trucking Association.
