Intermodal traffic up 11% in March

OTTAWA, Ont. — The tonnage for intermodal traffic, represented by containers on flat cars and trailers on flat cars, increased 11% from March 2002.

A little less than 2.2 million metric tonnes of intermodal cargo was loaded in March, Statistics Canada reports.

This also represents a rise of 13% from this February.
