International launches 4400 Mid Cab tractor

WARRENVILLE, Ill. — International Truck and Engine Corporation has launched the 4400 4×2 Mid Cab tractor.

The tractor is engineered for urban and regional applications where the vehicle mission requires more than 10 percent bobtailing.

For private carriers or for-hire trucking customers, the tractor is built with International I6 diesel engines designed to meet the demanding driving conditions of urban and regional delivery businesses. International DT466 engines with 215-horsepower and 620 lb.-ft. torque ratings are standard, but customers also can select International DT466 engines with ratings up to 250 horsepower, or International DT530 engines with ratings up to 300 horsepower.

Customers operating trucks in low-mileage, urban and regional applications can capitalize on the International 4400 Mid Cab tractor’s outstanding maneuverability, commanding view of the road, exceptional serviceability, excellent fuel economy and superior powertrain performance, according to company literature.
