LAS VEGAS, Nev. – International yesterday launched a new series of trucks, the 4000, 7000 and 8000. It calls them its High Performance series.

The International 4000 series is a medium-duty truck. It is now available for order, with full production beginning in early April.

Specifically, the 4300 and 4400 are designed for pickup and delivery, utility, beverage, recovery and emergency service applications.

The 7000 series will be available for order this summer, and will go into full production in December.

The 7300, 7400 and 7500 models will be built for severe-service vocations like construction, government and waste. International says that “everything from the cooling system to the exhaust system has been reconfigured on the chassis of these trucks.”

Finally, the International 8500 tractor will be available for order in May, with full production beginning in October. It is meant for regional haul purposes.
