KBi introduces advanced starting fluid system

LAKE IN THE HILLS, Ill. — Kold-Ban International (KBi), which specializes in the development of ether-based engine starting fluid systems, has a new offering for truckers.

The new technology, known as the Dieselmatic NVT, uses a patented valve to aid in starting the new generation of electronic engines. The unit plugs directly into the starting fluid port on an engine’s ECM — no separate interface is required. Full, professional installation is accomplished with ease in less than one hour, according to the company.

The system is activated during the starting procedure — based on vital engine information such as engine speed and ambient temperature, the ECM can send an signal to the Dieselmatic.

According to Kbi, this allows a more precise delivery of ether. Additionally, this automatic feature prevents operator error or abuse.
