Kenworth adds optional Haulmaax EX suspensions

by Today's Trucking

Haulmaax EX rubber suspensions are now options on Kenworth T880, W990, T680 and T480 trucks.

The Hendrickson suspension system was designed for vocational applications including dump, concrete mixer, refuse, logging, cranes and booms, platform trucks, and fire and rescue, Kenworth notes.

It replaces the Hendrickson Haulmaax 40,000- and 46,000-lb. suspensions and also adds a 52,000-lb. capacity model.

The suspension uses a rubber spring to support empty-ride quality and loaded stability. Angled bolster springs and a progressive load spring offer added stability for applications such as refuse, concrete mixer, and dump trucks.

Other updates include a higher site rating, but the same weight and durability as the system’s predecessor, Kenworth says.
