CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Kenworth’s latest model, the T680, has entered full production at the company’s Chillicothe, Ohio truck plant.

The T680 rounds out Kenworth’s line of highway tractors, with a 2.1-metre cab that compliments the T660 and T700 with their 1.9- and 2.3-metre cab widths, respectively.

“With a line-up of the T660, T680 and T700, Kenworth’s aerodynamic, on-highway truck offering has never been stronger,” said Gary Moore, Kenworth general manager and Paccar vice-president. “Each aerodynamic model features a different cab width, giving customers an excellent selection to meet the needs of their specific applications.”

Employees at the Chillicothe plant recently partook in a celebration to mark the occasion.

Kenworth calls its T680 its most aerodynamic truck ever. It’s available with a 76-inch sleeper or in a day cab configuration. It comes standard with the Paccar MX engine, but is also available with the Cummins ISX. The new tractor is now on tour across North America.
