KIRKLAND, Wash. — Kenworth is now offering Cummins Signature 600 engines for the T2000 on-highway model truck.

The new option is aimed at truckers who want the power provided by a 600hp engine, but the efficiency of an aerodynamic rig such as the T2000.

“We know that some drivers want and need the power that comes with a 600-horsepower engine,” says Kurt Freitag, Kenworth product marketing manager. “But they’re also interested in running a lighter, more aerodynamic model like the T2000 since fuel can be their number one operating cost.”

He goes on to add, “We’ve made the Cummins Signature 600, Cummins ISX and Caterpillar C-16 600 horsepower engines available in the T2000 for those interested customers.”
