Kenworth offers Paccar TX-12 PRO, TX-18 PRO automated transmissions for mixer applications
Kenworth has expanded availability of its Paccar TX-12 PRO and TX-18 PRO automated transmissions to T880 and W990 models equipped with Paccar engines and a rear engine power take-off (REPTO). The change enables concrete mixer and other REPTO-dependent vocational customers to spec the transmissions on Class 8 trucks.
Both models integrate with Paccar’s MX-11 and MX-13 engines to provide a fully matched powertrain focused on maximizing uptime.
The 12-speed TX-12 PRO targets on-highway and lighter vocational use, offering smooth shifting, precise control, and torque capacity up to 1,700 lb.-ft., with predictive shifting that adapts to road and load.

The TX-18 PRO, for heavy vocational and heavy-haul operations, delivers 18 forward and six reverse speeds, with up to 1,850 lb.-ft. of torque and gear selection optimized for traction and productivity on varied terrain.
Shared features include Paccar’s Extreme Duty clutch for low-speed maneuverability, Rock Free mode to help free stuck vehicles, and off-highway calibration for changing soil conditions. Both transmissions retain Kenworth’s right-hand, column-mounted shifter with gear selection, performance modes, and engine-brake controls.
