Kenworth unveils dinette, sofabed option for T2000

LOUSIVILLE, Ky. — Kenworth is looking to boost driver comfort with a dinette and sofabed option package for its T2000 75-inch Aerodyne model.

The new T2000 driver comfort package starts with a dinette table made from materials comparable to high-end kitchen counters, according to the truck maker.

The fold-down dinette seats four people. A dual intensity, overhead light fixture below the upper bunk provides lighting for the table, which is 26 inches wide by 34 inches in length.

The sofabed consists of two opposing couches convert into a 42-inch wide by 80-inch long bed for comfortable sleeping. The sofabed configuration has a sleeper berth restraint for a person sleeping or lounging in the bed during operation. The television can be viewed while sitting at the dinette or laying on the bed.

As a bonus feature, opposing storage pods on the sleeper’s back wall provide an ideal place for books and magazines, reading lights, and an enclosures for stereo speakers.

Kenworth’s new T2000 dinette and sofabed option package is will be available in production later this year.
