Kenworth has launched a computer-based diagnostic tool for the new instrumentation system on its new 2006 models. The “state of the art” instrument panel is a multiplex system that includes a new combined speedometer and tachometer cluster along with sensors and individual 2-in. gauges. Service technicians will use the new Electronic Service Analyst software tool to quickly diagnose dashboard electronics in new Kenworth T600, T800, W900 and C500 models. It gives them much more information than before, and lets them review codes stored in the components, verify instrument functions to accurately pinpoint a malfunction, and diagnose any potential problems.
