KW’s T300 for ’05

Kenworth
Kenworth will mark the 10th anniversary of its T300 medium-duty truck in 2005 with updates including a heavier front-axle option (14,600 pounds) to go along with an available 30,000-pound rear axle (for single-axle applications). Frame inserts, an accessory package for trucks spec’d with hydraulic brakes, and Caterpillar’s C7 engine at 330 horsepower are available for all applications.

Inside, the T300 has been modified for driver comfort. Because many drivers, especially those making multiple stops in a day, use the cab as their office, Kenworth developed an optional workstation between the driver and passenger seat. Open it up and a small desk emerges for completing paperwork tasks. Two 12-volt outlets can be used to power computers and other devices. Drivers can hang files in the compartment and stand up a clipboard, and still have room underneath to store work gloves or shoes. Close it up and there’s a convenient cup holder on top.

On the exterior, a wire mesh grille has polished stainless steel centre trim and an optional one-piece stainless steel-clad aluminum bumper is adorned with fog lights. Standard complex reflector headlamps provide a 50-per-cent increase in illumination.
