LED WORK LAMP

Truck-Lite says its new LED work lamp produces 324 lumens, claimed to be as much as double the light output of competitive work lights. It generates full brightness at only 8.5 volts for 12-v models, 21 volts for 24-v models. Both models have over-voltage protection.

In a white glossy housing, the lamp was first developed for marine applications, so the diecast-aluminum powder-coat housing with polycarbonate lens system is designed to stand up to adverse conditions, the company says, like corrosive atmospheres. Mounting hardware is stainless steel.

The polycarbonate lens system consists of the white circuit board  designed to maximize reflection and an inner lens that gathers and concentrates light before it’s transmitted through the outer lens. That lens is tailored to the specific application. It determines if the light output will be trapezoidal for a work lamp, or a spot or flood pattern.
