Link Mfg. unveils 42-inch ramp

by Today's Trucking

Link Mfg.’s new LB20-42-108SA spring-assist ramp measures 42 inches wide, fitting between the company’s 36- and 47-inch offerings. And it won’t block access doors when mounted to one side and folded to an upright position for stowage – taking up less than 12 inches of horizontal space just inside the door.

The option is a perfect fit for Last Mile businesses that don’t need to deploy ramps at every stop, the company notes.

Stretching 108 inches long, the aluminum ramp with a steel deck mounting plate has a 1,250-lb. capacity. It can be used on vehicles with deck heights ranging from 20 to 48 inches and door heights exceeding a minimum of 60 inches.

It fits Ford Transit cargo vans with medium- and high roof-configurations, and Nissan NV, Dodge Ram ProMaster and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter cargo vans with high-roof configurations.

Only about 50 lb. of force is needed to deploy or retract the ramp, thanks to a standard spring assist. A wheel kit helps when deploying the ramp on different surface angles and materials.
