Lytx adds features to DVIR offering

by Today's Trucking

Lytx has announced four new features for its DVIR product aimed at helping fleets and drivers perform more thorough and proactive reporting.

New features include: walkaround photos so drivers can capture and submit photos via the Driver App; multiple inspection lists for managers who require supplemental inspections for select trucks and trailers; email notifications to help managers stay on top of key issues without constantly checking each individual DVIR; and a scheduler enhancement for fleet managers who want more flexibility and customization when scheduling periodic inspections.

“Drivers simply sign into the Driver App using their existing Lytx account to complete each inspection from their smartphone or tablet,” the company said in an announcement. “To enhance reports and help mechanics better understand issues with a vehicle or trailer, drivers can upload photos and video (up to three seconds) to save valuable time and expedite repairs.”
