Mack debuts CommandView to boost safety, efficiency
Mack Trucks has introduced Mack CommandView, a new onboard technology suite designed to improve safety, efficiency and digital capability for fleet operators. The system was unveiled at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2026 in Las Vegas, Nev. The integrated situational awareness system is designed to reduce blind spots and improve maneuverability in demanding operating environments. It will be available for order on the Granite model in late 2027.
A 360-degree camera system provides visibility around the truck. Multiple camera feeds are stitched together into a composite bird’s-eye view, reducing blind spots created by high ground clearance, long hoods and vocational body configurations.
Side-view cameras automatically activate with turn signals to enhance visibility during lane changes and turns, helping reduce the risk of sideswipe incidents and contact with pedestrians, equipment or property.

CommandView also adjusts camera perspectives based on gear selection to provide forward, rear and lateral visibility. Optional auditory and visual alerts warn drivers when a person or object is detected within close range.
Designed for harsh environments, the system layers sensor data onto live camera feeds. Event-based video can be triggered automatically or manually and is stored in the cloud for fleet visibility and risk management.
The suite also includes an onboard weighing system compatible with all axle configurations, providing real-time payload data both in-cab and through roof-mounted LED indicators to assist coordination between drivers and loader operators. Integrated navigation supports compliant routing, while automated digital job summaries capture cycle data, timestamps and payload details to reduce administrative work and billing errors.
