Mack deliveries slide further

LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. — Deliveries from Mack Trucks through January 2002 totaled only 911 vehicles, a decrease of 52 per cent from the 1,915 units delivered during the same period last year.

In North America, only 796 new Macks joined trucking operations in January, down from 1,830 last year.

Several fleets, including Schneider National have already announced they will buy no trucks until the questions surrounding EGR-equipped trucks and October’s emissions deadline have been adequately answered.
