Mack expert to answer questions about SCR online

LEHIGH VALLEY, Penn. — As decision time nears for fleets and owner/operators who will have to choose a solution for EPA2010-compliant engines, Mack is offering expert advice on Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR).

The company’s Web site (www.macktrucks.com) now features a section where customers can submit questions on SCR to powertrain marketing manager, David McKenna. The urea-based solution has been selected as Mack and Volvo’s choice for meeting 2010 emissions standards.

Visitors to the Mack home page can now click a banner that says “Talking SCR” to submit their questions and view McKenna’s responses.

“We know SCR is the best choice for 2010,” McKenna said. “But we also know there’s a lot of misinformation out there about this technology. Our goal is to help the heavy-duty truck customer make a truly informed purchasing decision.”
