Mack family reunites at Macungie

LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. — A new era began on Aug. 13, when the first Mack Pinnacle tractor came off the production line at the Macungie Assembly Operations in Pennsylvania.

Macungie already produces the Mack Granite, Mack TerraPro and Titan by Mack models, and with this addition the facility now assembles the complete lineup of Mack heavy-duty trucks.

Production of the Pinnacle model is being transferred to Macungie from the New River Valley Plant in Dublin, Va. to take advantage of efficiencies arising from consolidated assembly, and to create a brand-specific environment for Mack customers.

Pinnacle production is expected to be fully transferred to Macungie by the end of November.

To commemorate the start of Mack highway truck production at Macungie, the first 1,000 Pinnacle models built there will be adorned with special Mack Bulldog decals on their hoods.
