Mack launches used trucks program

LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. – Mack Trucks has established a Premium Used Trucks program.

The program aims to help Mack dealers capitalize on demand opportunities for quality pre-owned Mack vehicles, particularly highway tractors.

Fleet trade-ins are the primary source of the vehicles available through the program. Approximately ninety days before these trucks are returned, descriptions and pricing are posted on a Web site. Eligible dealers can then review this information and make purchases electronically.

Initially, each dealer organization is allowed a proportionate number of vehicles. Dealers requiring more can then purchase any vehicles not secured during the initial offering period.

“We think this program is going to be a very valuable tool for us and other dealers who choose to participate,” said Doug Malcomb, Used Truck Manager for Houston Mack Sales and Service. “Knowing exactly what vehicles are going to be available to us and when will certainly enhance the effectiveness of our used truck operations. And being able to access this information and place orders online is ideal as well.”
