Mack shoulders truck maintenance with premium service agreement

Mack Trucks is replacing existing maintenance plans with a new premium service agreement that shifts routine and preventive maintenance to the Mack dealer network.

Plans can be added to new and in-service trucks prior to their first service intervals. They can be tailored to trade-in cycles and normal-duty or heavy-duty operating conditions.

Covered services include aftertreatment maintenance and DPF cleaning; transmission and scheduled axle maintenance; engine maintenance and valve adjustments; chassis maintenance; alternator coverage; and a regular 74-point inspection and oil analysis.

The plan can be further customized with optional services.

The related payment can be made monthly or up front, and billed directly or through a dealer. Bundling it with truck payments through Mack Financial Services also makes it possible to pay for the contract interest-free and over time.
