MacKay’s Volvo Truck Centre named Canadian Dealer of the Year

TRURO, N.S. — MacKay’s Volvo Truck Centre has been named the 2007 Canadian Dealer of the Year by Volvo Group.

The dealership is owned by David MacKay and has been in business since 1980. It opened with just three service bays and has since grown to feature 19 bays as well as a body shop. It employs 40 people.

MacKay’s has been a Volvo dealership since 1991.

“Volvo’s Dealer of the Year award honours each dealership’s entire organization and its employees for overall accomplishment and performance,” Volvo said in a release. “The award is based upon a number of factors, including new truck sales, parts sales, financial performance, and customer satisfaction scores.”
