McLeod Software and Trucker Path have integrated their transportation management system (TMS) and mobile navigation app, offering fleet drivers seamless access to essential tools.

The new capability allows drivers to instantly access navigation in the Trucker Path app with a single tap from the McLeod TMS, reducing the need to manually input information or switch between applications.

“With drivers increasingly relying on mobile devices for navigation and essential in-route live information feeds, the ease of accessing critical information with minimal effort ensures that they stay connected, informed, and can focus their attention on the road,” said Chris Oliver, chief marketing officer at Trucker Path, in a news release.

The integration provides multiple benefits for both drivers and fleets, including improved safety by using truck-specific routes and reducing manual data entry. The inclusion of truck size and weight dimensions ensures proper truck routing to avoid low bridges, weight-restricted roadways, tight turns and more, which improves safety and overall route efficiency.

Fleet managers can send custom, pre-configured routes directly to drivers, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing fuel costs, while back-and-forth communication between dispatchers and drivers is reducing, the companies said in a release.
