McLeod Software updates its TMS with AI, dispatch enhancements in Version 26.2
McLeod Software has released Version 26.2 of its transportation management system, adding new planning, dispatch, business intelligence and artificial intelligence capabilities for freight brokers and carriers.
Among the release’s key features are new trailer planning and dispatch tools designed to improve equipment utilization and reduce empty miles. According to the news release, users can proactively plan trailer pool movements before assigning drivers or tractors, identify profitable backhaul opportunities more easily, manage tractor posting directly within Operations Management, and streamline trailer sharing across companies to improve asset utilization.
The update also expands the Carrier Sales Board with additional carrier performance and profitability data, while adding support for more accurate LTL quoting and private load posting through Truckstop.com, and secure rate confirmations through Highway to help reduce fraud.
The software also introduces enhanced lane profitability analysis, improved EDI reconciliation, expanded tracking visibility through Descartes MacroPoint, and enhanced brokerage tracking
McLeod has added several productivity enhancements, including faster cash application processing, SMS image capture for DocumentPower, streamlined claims management, quicker spot order creation, and improved tender workflow management.
AI also plays a larger role in Version 26.2. New capabilities within MPact.RespondAI allow users to process multiple orders from a single email, automatically extract shipment information from customer communications and generate AI-assisted responses for email and MobileComm messages.
