Meritor planetary axle for wheel loaders
Meritor has expanded its axle offerings with the MCL 541 planetary axle for wheel loaders – entering a new market segment.
The MCL 541 is designed for machines that have a bucket capacity of up to four cubic meters, and it’s the first model in a wheel loader axle series.
Featured components include Meritor’s 14X carrier and Family 5 planetary wheel ends.
The axle’s “interchangeable architecture” could also support future compatibility with electric vehicles, the company says.
“This axle serves as the entry point to a new segment and represents Meritor’s ongoing commitment to the off-highway market,” said Steve Luepke, senior director of off-highway. “Our focus on continuous product innovation, combined with the company’s global footprint and support network, has made it possible for us to address the demands of this dynamic segment and expand our product offering for customers.”
