Meritor tire inflation system by P.S.I. receives 2003 Intermodal Achievement Award

TROY, Mich., – ArvinMeritor, Inc. announced that its Meritor Tire Inflation System by P.S.I. has been recognized by the Intermodal Association of North America(IANA).

Pressure Systems International (P.S.I.) received IANA’s 2003 Intermodal Achievement Award for the product, which was developed in conjunction with ArvinMeritor, and is actively marketed by ArvinMeritor’s global sales force.

The Meritor Tire Inflation System (MTIS) by P.S.I. automatically monitors and maintains proper tire inflation on commercial vehicle trailers.

“We are thrilled to receive this award and glad to support such an outstanding product with ArvinMeritor,” said Frank Sonzala, executive vice president, P.S.I. “The development of the Meritor Tire Inflation System offers a significant cost reduction associated with tire maintenance.”

In addition, the Meritor Tire Inflation System also received the R&D 100 award in 2000, which recognizes the 100 most technologically significant new products.
