Mitchell1 merges TMC recommended practices into TruckSeries

by Today's Trucking

Mitchell1, in partnership with the American Trucking Association’s Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC), has merged TMC recommended practices (RP) into its web-based TruckSeries diagnostic and repair program.

Through a single log-in, technicians who use TruckSeries can access information to diagnose and complete repairs on any year and make of medium- or heavy-duty truck. They can identify and reference the appropriate recommended practices for a job via the program’s 1Search Plus card-based format or through the Service Manual view.

Once a vehicle is selected in TruckSeries and a particular component is identified, the 1Search Plus view will include an index card for “recommended practices,” which will list TMC RPs that are associated with that vehicle and component.

Meanwhile, Mitchell 1 has also added a new diagram-to-diagram navigation feature to its Advanced Interactive Wiring Diagrams within TruckSeries. It allows users to navigate from one wiring diagram to another, following the wire they were interested in, without exiting a job’s initial view.
