Momentum CNG fuel systems now in a smaller package

by Today's Trucking

Momentum Fuel Technologies is bringing compressed natural gas (CNG) to a wider array of trucks by introducing smaller-diameter side-mount 32 and 55 diesel gallon equivalent (DGE) fuel systems.

Integrated on a truck’s frame rails, the smaller diameters allow for the better ground clearance that is important to construction and vocational businesses, the company says. The systems can also be installed on any brand of mixer body.

It’s all based on an existing platform, with the same components, plumbing, mounting arms, torsion beams for protection and color-coded fuel lines. Momentum systems also come equipped with neck-mounted cylinders manufactured by Luxfer.

The cylinder itself is protected with an alloy steel end plate and several aluminum extrusions.
