Muncie PTO for Allison 3000 and 4000 transmissions
Muncie Power Products’ A30 Series continuous-duty power take-off (PTO) promises improved torque ratings for medium- and heavy-duty applications.
The 10-bolt, constant-drive PTO is designed to fit Allison 3000 and 4000 Series transmissions.
Related improvements include a maximized gear design to reduce noise, tapered roller bearings for longer life, and a new rotatable pump flange to ease installation.
A larger input shaft diameter will increase durability, the company says, and there are three assembly arrangements.
The A30 Series PTO is compatible with Muncie Power’s EX Drive shaft extension, which allows the direct mounting of larger pumps.
Potential applications include refuse trucks, cranes, snow plows, cement mixers, and other applications that require continuous duty cycles.
