Navistar Re-Launches ‘Canadian Classics’ with Cummins ISX15

Navistar Canada president Mark Belisle said they are committed to the Canadian market.

MONTREAL — Not so much a launch as it was a re-launch, Navistar showed off its International 9900i and PayStar 5900 SBA models at ExpoCam today, announcing that the Cummins ISX15 is now available with both of those models.

“We will soon have a full portfolio of proven SCR-powered engines that the Canadian marketplace demands,” said Navistar Canada president Mark Belisle.

Navistar has sold nearly 7,000 9900i in the Canadian market, Belisle pointed out, and while not the most aerodynamically looking truck, they aren’t getting rid of it anytime soon, he said.

“It’s one of the most respected trucks in Canada,” Belisle said.

Production of both vehicles began earlier this month and the company is now taking orders. The 9900i is available exclusively with the ISX15 engine, while the PayStar 5900 is also available with the MaxxForce 13 engine with SCR.
