LISLE, Ill. — Navistar International announced today that it is ready to commence deliveries of International ProStar+ Class 8 tractors with the Cummins ISX15 engine.

The company reached its internal ‘Ok-to-Ship’ milestone ahead of schedule this week, meaning the ProStar+ with ISX15 engine has been thoroughly validated and field-tested and is ready to be deployed into fleet operations. The first 300 ProStar+ tractors with the ISX15 are now set for delivery, the company announced.

“Reaching its ‘OK-to-Ship’ milestone on Dec. 14 – five days ahead of schedule – demonstrates the tremendous progress we’re making in delivering our first SCR-based Class 8 trucks to the marketplace,” said Troy Clarke, Navistar president and chief operating officer. “Working collaboratively and fully integrated with our Cummins colleagues, the team has beat an aggressive launch timeline while ensuring the highest levels of quality.”

Truck News editor James Menzies took one of the very first ProStar+ tractors with ISX15 engine for a spin today at Navistar’s Illinois headquarters. He’ll have a full report later this week.
