New boss at Sustainable Transportation

CALGARY, Alta. — The Centre for Sustainable Transportation has named Norman Leach as its president and chief executive officer effective Dec. 1.

“Mr. Leach brings extensive public and private sector experience to the job,” says Michael McNeil, Chair of the Centre’s Board of Directors. Most recently, Leach worked within the advanced technology transportation sector on replacing diesel fuel in vehicle engines with cleaner-burning natural gas.

His previous positions were as president of Grey Cup 2000, director of correspondence and information for Manitoba Health, chief executive officer of the Alberta and Manitoba Chambers of Commerce, and chief executive officer of the Alberta Trade Office in Mexico.

Leach is a graduate in Political Science from the University of Manitoba. He has served on several boards, is active in community service, and is a published author and lecturer.
