New electric Neos 200e refrigeration unit for delivery vans

Carrier Transicold has introduced a new all-electric Neos 200e refrigeration unit for electric delivery vehicles.

The company says the Neos 200e provides 40% more cooling capacity than the model it replaces, taking power directly from the electric vehicle’s batteries. It can also be combined with conventional engine-driven vehicles, in which case it draws power from the alternator and battery.

“Neos 200e is ideal for florists, confectioners, grocers and last-mile delivery businesses that want commercial-vehicle-level reliability and performance from a system that’s quiet, compact and can help them achieve their sustainability goals,” said Scott Parker, truck product manager, Truck Trailer Americas, Carrier Transicold. “It delivers big results for small delivery vehicles.”

The unit can be integrated into the vehicle or mounted externally. It’s 12-volt compatible, and features a brazed plate heat exchanger for better heat transfer, as well as a larger evaporator coil and 60% more airflow over the unit it succeeds.
