TORONTO, Ont. — Imperial Oil today announced three of its diesel engine oils meet Caterpillar’s ECF-1 specification.

Esso XD-3 Extra 15W-40, Mobil Delvac 1300 Super and Delvac 1, all meet the Engine Crankcase Fluid (ECF) specification, a new standard developed to ensure the optimum life and performance of Caterpillar Engines that meet stringent 2002 emission regulations, as well as earlier models.

The oils are effective at dealing with soot, wear and corrosion in both on and off-road Caterpillar engines, according to company literature.
